A night of wines, cheeses and steaks - sounds like the perfect night to me!
It was a night of firsts on 15 March. Courtesy of Cavemen who hosted Advocado’s first get-together session and their soft launch (more of a party, I would say). Thanks to Yvonne Nattashia Ng and her team, this was an unforgettable night!
Chit chats about businesses, DIY soap making, history of wines and even honey! All around, conversations leading to laughter was a common sight. Our aim was to build communities and bring people together. And what better way to do it, than to have a party? But we cannot call it a party without food and drinks, right? (Thank you Cavemen for the love!)
We started off our Italian journey through wines. Let’s just say I couldn’t control myself.. Glass, after glass, after glass of wines! One of the more notable ones (and also my favourite!) - Collalto Rose Spumante Extra Dry.
Something interesting that was mentioned about this wine and its winery: Isabella Collalto de Croÿ has been leading the Collalto farm and winery since 2007. And the Rosé is her favourite wine - A wine that she has known since it was born, and a wine that’s dedicated to her daughter, Violette. If you look close enough, you can see the word “Violette” on the wine bottle!
Moving on to the mouthwatering food that was served… Well, I don’t trust myself to do a proper food review, I just love food! So here’s a snippet of what Yong Wei Kai of SGCafeHopping had to say about the delectable spread.
Dry aged USDA choice with Minced Truffles Sauce:
Truffle smell was soaking the entire room, and honestly, I couldn’t wait to dig in (but must maintain because so many ladies around). Again, the dry aged meat was so tender and it was filled with truffle flavour. Trust me, once you start, you can’t stop!
- Yong Wei Kai, SGCafeHopping
- The wines we had were all made by women!
- The Iberico ham on the Crostini was aged for 64 months.
- The party was supposedly 7pm-9pm, but it ended at 4am!
Cheers to new friendships and unforgettable memories!
